For nearly 20 years, Jim and Judy have been steadfast friends and champions of California State University, San Bernardino, and have tirelessly demonstrated their commitment in countless ways and in many roles–

as literacy advocates, philanthropic leaders, campaign chairpersons, foundation and advisory board members, and as benefactors for the arts. And with their transformative $8.4 million gift, their generosity will continue to advance the university and local community, from supporting scholarships to creating new programs to enhancing the existing Watson & Associates Literacy Center. Cal State San Bernardino is honored to name one of its colleges after the couple – the James R. Watson and Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education is only the fourth college of education to be named in the California State University system. On behalf of the CSUSB community, we thank Jim and Judy for their service and commitment to higher education, and for helping Cal State San Bernardino define the future.
